Photo Grab Bag Photographs

February 24th - February 28th, 2020

 

Objective: Create Problem Solving by Selecting a random photo idea and produce 3 images that contain the concept

 

Assignment: Select slip of paper out of the grab bag, you are to create 3 images that reflect that thought or concept, for example if you drew the slip that reads “photograph friendship” you would create three images that represent what friendship means to you. The images and the reading with Cornell Notes is due on Thursday, Feb. 27th at the end of class and the word find is due on Friday, Feb 28th.

Phase One: Do Now

T will: Day 1:

  •  “The Hook” – PowerPoint with the random ideas in photographs
  • Bell work: How will you photograph your random selection? Explain
  •  Classroom discussion the various ways one can approach this assignment and the random ideas these pictures can evoke
  • Buddy Buzz with your shoulder partner about your different ways you could take pleasing pictures of your random idea

 

Phase Two – Instructional Scaffolding

 

The Agenda: Bell work – student lead class discussion on ways to photograph a randomly selected photo idea

 

Teacher led Q & A about the influences of creativity that is arbitrarily induced

 

  • Ticket out the Door – Ticket out the Door – Write a short reflection about how  you will approach this assignment and your personal time-line for completing the images
