Creating Modern Photographs from Old Paintings

February   3rd – February 7th, 2020

 

Objective: Students will work collaboratively with a group to reconstruct an old painting into a modern photograph!

Phase One: Do Now

T will: Day 1:

  •  “The Hook” –View PowerPoint of old paintings that have been translated into a modern photograph, see the video of a flash mob reconstructing an old painting at a mall, create criteria chart, and rubric
  • Phase Two – Instructional Scaffolding

 

The Agenda:

Watch Videos – both instructional and entertaining

Create Criteria Chart

Make Rubric

Go over Assignment, Brainstorm and class discussion about logistics of creating a group image, break groups into sub components and have leader make assignments

 

Teacher led Q & A about creating a group photograph

 

  • Ticket out the door: Write a sentence how, when and where you will construct this image. Who will do what, when?
