 Photographing Bubbles

3rd Quarter Benchmark Assessment March 6th

 

Assignment: Create and turn in 3 – 8x10 Bubble Photographs, complete the Cornell Notes and word find and study for your 3rd Q Benchmark to be administered Friday March 6th.

 

Objective:

Photographs of Bubbles (Soap, Water or Ice)

Phase One: Do Now

 

T will:

  • The students will watch a YouTube video on Phonography and taking images of bubbles
  • “The Hook” – View slide show images of bubbles and brainstorm ways to create them
  • Pair-read a pamphlet on how to create great bubble photographs using your cell phone

 

Phase Two – Instructional Scaffolding

 

 

Bell work – student lead class discussion on ways to create an image that is created from a cell phone, and captures bubbles

 

Teacher led Q & A, Demonstration of how to create these photographs

 

Ticket out the Door: Answer the question: Why is the capture of light on a reflective bubble so enchanting? Explain why.
