Pinhole Photography

March 16th – March 27th, 2020

 

Assignment: Create 2 final pinhole photographs, one positive, one negative - turn in on March 27th at the end of class: One pinhole photograph that is a negative, one pinhole photograph that is a positive, a stippled drawing of the positive pinhole photograph - all 3 of which have been mounted on foam core. There will be two readings - one each week, that require the student turn in Cornell Notes for each one.

 

Objective:

Working in the Darkroom developing Pinhole Photographs

Phase One: Do Now

 

T will:

  • The students will see other student’s Pinhole photographs, view a PowerPoint, learn and go over PH vocabulary, and buddy read a reading on Pin Hole Photography
  • “The Hook” – View slide show images of Pinhole Photos

Phase Two – Instructional Scaffolding

 

 

Bell work – student lead class discussion on ways to create an images from (light tight) found objects like paint cans and old wooden boxes.

 

Teacher led Q & A, Demonstration of how to create these photographs
