 7 Elements of Art Photo Collage

September 23rd – September 27th, 2019

 

Objective: Creating a Photo Collage from the 7 Elements of Art Photographs (last week’s assignment).

Assignment: Down load a free collage App (Diptic or Photo Grid) and collage (any way you want) the 7 images from the Elements of Art Photo assignment las week. Email the single page collage to Mrs. Dorr @ odorr@muhs.com by Friday, September 27th.

Phase One: Do Now

T will: Day 1:

  •  “The Hook” – PowerPoint of photo collages
  • Bell work: How does a collage change the concepts of each of your individual pictures, explain.
  •  Classroom discussion about Elements of Art – Color, Form, Line, Shape, Space, Texture and Value
  • Buddy Buzz with your shoulder partner about your different ways you could arrange pleasing pictures of these Elements into a meaningful photo collage

 

Phase Two – Instructional Scaffolding

 

The Agenda: Bell work – student lead class discussion on ways to photograph the 7 Elements of Art  

 

Teacher led Q & A about the influence of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design? Why?

  • Ticket out the Door – Ticket out the Door – Write a short reflection about how you will approach this assignment and your personal time-line for completing the collage
